When it comes to your wedding day, I’m very much one of the gang. If you think of me as more of a guest (with pro camera skills 😉) than a traditional wedding photographer, you'll get a good idea of what it's like having me photograph your wedding.  There's no awkward posing or forced smiles.

One of my favourite quotes comes from the father of the bride many years ago. Late on in the evening he was singing my praises to his daughter, and said in his strong Irish accent “He’s in your face, but not in your face”. We all laughed, but it actually does sum up my approach rather accurately.

I’ll be close to the action, but never in the way or controlling - that's how I create images that bring back real memories, images that you’ll have an emotional attachment to. The sort of photos that when you’re flicking through your wedding album, years down the line, all of those wedding day feelings will come flooding back.

My photography is heavily focused on you, the people around you and your interactions with them. I want my photos to show your personality and tell the story of your day, from the inside out. That’s why I’ll never pose you, or say “ooh can you do that again” because as soon as I do, the moment is lost and it’s become a photoshoot.

By just being myself, I can get in amongst the action and capture genuine moments with real feeling - and real personality. That way, when you look at your wedding photos you'll see the real "you" and not an awkwardly posed version of yourself. But more importantly, you’ll remember the moment!

Every image on my website is from a real wedding and there’s not one posed photo. No photos from style shoots, or photos taken at workshops. Just real weddings.
